THE ILLEGAL EMPLOYMENT OF FOREIGN WORKERS IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

A nationwide inspection was held again in the Vysočina region in the Czech Republic lately.

The inspection was focused on checking the validity of work permits of foreigners working in the Czech Republic and compliance with the law on employment.

This time in Vysočina, customs officers inspected 61 people. In the case of 48 foreigners, their employers did not comply with the statutory reporting obligation to the local employment office.

In total, 213 foreigners carrying out work without a valid work permit or employee card and 27 foreigners carrying out work without a valid residence in the Czech Republic were detected in the Czech Republic.

Employers who allowed foreigners to perform illegal work, face penalties of up to CZK 10 million.
